Part 2 of Coronavirus Experiences: How to make buildings safer during COVID-19

Date: October 23, 2020

Time: 10:00am to 12:00pm

Location: Virtual (meeting link will be provided several days prior to the event)

Description:

For our cities to thrive again, office workers have to feel that their offices are safe. Among the strategies being deployed by building owners to reassure their tenants, perhaps the most important is upgrading HVAC systems.

Please join NYCBP and BCONE on October 23rd, for a virtual conference that will discuss everything we need to know about HVAC and indoor air quality concerns due to COVID. Our speakers will review why HVAC upgrades must play a role in building safety, and review the evolving latest best practices being adopted by Class A buildings to make their buildings stand out. We will also discuss how these strategies interact with new building energy efficiency performance requirements including Fitwel Certification, LEED and WELL Health-Safety guidelines.

The discussion will be co-moderated by Larry Schnapf of Schnapf LLC, and Ezgi Karayel of vEKtor Consultants. Expert speakers from diverse industries include Alex Schwartz, PE, LEED AP, ABS Engineering, PLLC and Adam Fisher, Energy and Sustainability at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL).

Cost:

  • BCONE Member: $25*
  • NYCBP Member: $25*
  • Non-Member: $40*

We want to acknowledge Alpha Analytical (on behalf of NYCBP) and Peak Environmental (on behalf BCONE) for their support of this program and throughout the year.
