Personal care products such as cosmetics, soaps, and lotions can be potential sources of exposure, while products used in the field may raise questions about cross contamination during sampling.</font></p> <p><font color="#000000">This virtual discussion will begin with a plain-language explanation of PFAS, where they are commonly found, and what is known about their potential health effects. Panelists will share how they evaluate personal care products, which alternatives they have found useful, and the steps they take to reduce their own exposure.</font></p> <p><font color="#000000">The conversation will then move from the bathroom to the lab room. Speakers will discuss how products containing PFAS may affect sampling work and how environmental professionals can limit cross contamination when handling samples and equipment.
